Sketcher in Residence Saturday April 26th, 2014

If you haven't seen the exhibit DRAWN TO SEATTLE, at MOHAI you should.  It is an exhibit of the work of Gabi Campanario, Journalist for the Seattle Times aka The Seattle Sketcher.  The exhibit covers the sketches and stories he has done since his arrival in 2006 and illustrates interesting places and people in Seattle.

This exhibit also talks about the history of sketching in Seattle by other well know artists and activists capturing the everyday lives of people.  Campanario  is the father of Urban Sketchers, an international group that sketches on location.  The local Urban Sketchers group has sketchbooks on display in this exhibit.

I will be Sketcher in Residence on Saturday April 26th, from 1:00-3:00 pm.  Drop by if you have time.  I will be sketching and helping people who want to sketch during that time.  Hope to see you there.
